Coverage Analyzer

Upload your insurance policy. See what's covered, what's not, and where you'll pay.

Free for patients. Works with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and international plans. GProv is not an insurance broker — we help you manage the coverage you already have.

What the analyzer does

  • Reads your card and policy. Snap a photo of the front and back of your insurance card. AI auto-fills member ID, group number, plan name, network type, customer service phone. Upload your Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) PDF to extract deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums.
  • Surfaces coverage gaps. Highlights services that are excluded, require prior authorization, fall outside your network, or hit your out-of-pocket maximum first. Prescription tier breakdown shows which medications are formulary, non-formulary, or excluded.
  • Checks travel coverage. Compares your policy's travel terms to your current or planned location. Tells you upfront whether you're covered, emergency-only, or fully out of network — before you need care abroad.
  • Filters the provider directory by your network. Search a specialist by ZIP code; results show distance, accepting-new-patients status, and your specific in-network designation.
  • Explains EOBs and bills. Paste an Explanation of Benefits or a hospital bill; Appi AI translates the codes and tells you whether you owe what they say you owe.

  • Hospital financial assistance programs and charity care eligibility

  • Free telehealth via Appi AI for non-urgent questions

  • • A licensed insurance broker in your state

Frequently asked questions

What is a coverage gap analyzer?

A coverage gap analyzer is a tool that reads your existing health insurance policy and shows what is covered, what is not, and where your out-of-pocket exposure is highest. GProv's analyzer uses AI to read uploaded policy documents and insurance cards, then highlights deductibles, copays, out-of-network risk, prescription tiers, and travel coverage rules so users can plan care without surprise bills.

Does GProv sell health insurance?

No. GProv is not an insurance carrier, broker, or marketplace. The Insurance Hub helps users manage and understand the policies they already have. To buy insurance, users are directed to Healthcare.gov, state exchanges, or licensed brokers.

How does GProv help users without health insurance?

For uninsured users, GProv's Appi AI assistant suggests sliding-scale clinics, free clinics, urgent care that accepts cash pay, hospital financial assistance programs, and prescription discount programs. Appi can also explain procedure costs and lower-cost alternatives. GProv's telehealth and health record features are free for patients with or without insurance.

Can I scan my insurance card with my phone?

Yes. GProv's insurance card scanner uses AI to read the front and back of your card and auto-fill member ID, group number, plan name, network, and customer-service phone. Card images are encrypted client-side using AES-GCM 256 before upload and never shown to other users.

Will my insurance cover me if I travel internationally?

It depends on the policy. Most US-issued individual and employer plans cover only emergency care outside the United States, and many cover none at all. GProv's travel coverage check reads your policy's travel terms, compares them to your current or planned location, and tells you whether you are covered, partially covered, or out of network entirely — before you need care.

How do I find in-network providers?

After you add your insurance to GProv, the provider directory filters search results by your plan's network. Search for a specialty (cardiologist, dermatologist, mental health therapist, etc.) by ZIP code; results show distance, accepting-new-patients status, and your specific in-network/out-of-network designation. Works with Medicare and Medicaid plans as well as commercial insurance.

Is the coverage analyzer free?

Yes. The coverage analyzer, insurance card scanner, in-network provider finder, and Appi AI navigation are free for all patient users. The Pro tier ($29.99/mo) adds higher AI usage limits, voice mode for Appi, and additional storage; it is not required to analyze insurance.
